Psychology And Counseling

Sometimes in life we are faced with challenges & issues that can affect our relationships,
our self esteem and our work. At such times, our health and  wellbeing, and our ability to
enjoy life fully can  also be compromised. And, with  life being so busy  & stressful, it can
be difficult to find the space & time to effectively  work through these issues on our own
and to determine the right path for us. This is where Psychology & Counselling may help.

A qualified Counsellor and Psychologist can embrace a solution-focussed and integrated approach that promotes & enhances personal growth, life transformation, wellbeing and
soul centred living. Psychology recognises that every person is unique & has a different
way of expressing ourselves and coping with such issues.

Counselling psychologists are  specialists in the  provision  of psychological  therapy,
providing psychological assessment & psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families
and groups. Psychologists  treat a Wide range of Psychological Problems and Mental
health disorders.

Counsellors use a variety of evidence-based  therapeutic strategies and have particular expertise in tailoring  these to meet the specific & varying  needs of clients. Psychology
focuses on building psychological strengths & wellbeing as well as supporting individuals
in resolving difficulties and disorders.

Clients are assisted to assume control of their lives  by developing new perspectives and understanding. An effective  outcome  for clients seeing  Psychologists is that they learn
to think in new ways, manage difficult emotional experiences more effectively, & practise different ways of behaving.

Our Psychologists, with  the right  balance of  integrity, compassion and  expertise, can
support tremendously by offering an objective perspective and an independent sounding
board. Through the use of different tools and  techniques, our Psychologists can help to empower us to take responsibility, accept ourselves fully & to  move forward confidently
and with courage, so that we can find the right decisions for ourselves and our families.

Sometimes, our emotions and moods can be related to, or exacerbated by, our physical problems.  PMT, chronic or intense pain are such examples. At other times, our physical problems can be the result of the effects of different stresses on our bodies.  Research
shows that ongoing stress can lead to serious illness in the long term if it remains
unchecked.

Psychology offers a broad approach to such issues and work closely with other health    professionals, where necessary, in order to help you find  some resolution and balance emotionally, physically and spiritually.
